Hylian Crest Tattoo: A Symbol of Courage, Wisdom, and Power

For fans of the popular video game series, “The Legend of Zelda,” the Hylian Crest is a well-known symbol that represents the Triforce, a powerful artifact that grants its owner the abilities of courage, wisdom, and power. It’s no surprise that many fans have chosen to immortalize this symbol on their skin with a Hylian Crest tattoo. In this article, we’ll explore the meaning behind the Hylian Crest tattoo and what it represents to its wearers.

The History of the Hylian Crest

The Hylian Crest first appeared in the original “Legend of Zelda” game for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1986. It was created by the game’s designer, Shigeru Miyamoto, as a way to symbolize the three pieces of the Triforce. The Triforce is a sacred artifact that grants its owner immense power, and it is said to be held by the Royal Family of Hyrule.

Over the years, the Hylian Crest has become a staple of the “Legend of Zelda” franchise, appearing in nearly every game in the series. It has also become a popular symbol among fans of the series, with many choosing to incorporate it into their tattoos.

The Design of the Hylian Crest Tattoo

The design of the Hylian Crest tattoo can vary widely, with some opting for a simple outline of the symbol and others choosing to incorporate more intricate designs and shading. One thing that remains consistent, however, is the placement of the tattoo. The Hylian Crest is most commonly found on the upper arm or shoulder, although it can also be placed on the chest, back, or other areas of the body.
