Unveiling the Infamous 2 Cole Tattoos: A Look into the Game’s Iconic Design

Infamous 2 is a popular action-adventure video game developed by Sucker Punch Productions. The game features the protagonist, Cole MacGrath, a bike messenger who obtains superhuman powers after an explosion in Empire City. One of the most notable aspects of Cole’s character design is his tattoos, which play a significant role in the game’s storyline. In this article, we will take a closer look at the infamous 2 Cole tattoos, their meanings, and how they contribute to the overall narrative of the game.

The Origins of Cole’s Tattoos

The development team at Sucker Punch Productions incorporated Cole’s tattoos into his character design to add depth and complexity to his backstory. According to the game’s lore, Cole got his tattoos during his time in the military. Each tattoo represents a significant event or experience in his life, such as the lightning bolt on his face, which symbolizes the blast that gave him his powers.

The Significance of Cole’s Tattoos

Cole’s tattoos are not just there for aesthetic purposes; they also serve as a crucial plot device in the game. Throughout the game, Cole must gather Blast Cores, which are sources of energy that enhance his powers. However, to unlock the full potential of each Blast Core, Cole must first charge it with energy from his tattoos. This mechanic ties Cole’s tattoos directly to his powers and makes them an integral part of the gameplay.

The Design of Cole’s Tattoos

Cole’s tattoos were designed to reflect his personality and backstory. The lightning bolt on his face, for example, is a nod to his electric powers, while the eagle on his back represents his military background. The tattoos were also designed to be asymmetrical, which adds to Cole’s rugged and unpredictable nature.
