Deepika Padukone Tattoo Removed: Why Did She Do It?

Deepika Padukone, one of the most popular actresses in Bollywood, recently made headlines when she removed her tattoo. The tattoo was a tribute to her ex-boyfriend, actor Ranbir Kapoor, and had the initials ‘RK’ inked on the nape of her neck. Deepika’s decision to remove the tattoo has left her fans wondering why she did it.

The Reason Behind the Tattoo Removal

Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor were in a relationship for almost two years before they broke up in 2009. While the two have moved on with their lives, the tattoo remained a constant reminder of their failed relationship. In an interview, Deepika revealed that she decided to remove the tattoo as she wanted to start afresh.

She said, “It’s something that I felt was a little too personal. So I removed it. It’s gone now. I am starting afresh. It’s my body and I am free to do what I want with it.”

The Process of Tattoo Removal

Tattoo removal is a painful and time-consuming process. Deepika had to undergo several sessions of laser treatment to remove the tattoo completely. Laser tattoo removal involves using high-intensity light beams to break down the ink particles in the skin. The body’s immune system then naturally removes the broken-down ink over time.

While the process is effective, it can take several months to a year to completely remove a tattoo. Deepika’s tattoo removal took almost a year, and she had to undergo several painful sessions to get rid of the tattoo.

Comments from Tattoo Artists

Several tattoo artists have commented on Deepika’s decision to remove her tattoo. While some have praised her for taking control of her body, others have criticized her for getting the tattoo in the first place.

Tattoo artist Vikas Malani, who had inked the tattoo on Deepika’s neck, said, “I think it’s a personal decision. If she feels it’s time to move on, it’s her call. As a tattoo artist, I believe it’s important to have a strong connection with the tattoo you get. If that connection is lost, it’s better to get rid of it.”

On the other hand, some tattoo artists have criticized Deepika for getting the tattoo in the first place. They believe that getting a tattoo for someone else is never a good idea, as it can lead to regrets later on.

Conclusion

Deepika Padukone’s decision to remove her tattoo has sparked a debate on social media. While some are applauding her for taking control of her body, others are criticizing her for getting the tattoo in the first place. Whatever the reason may be, the tattoo removal process is a painful and time-consuming one, and it requires a lot of patience and determination.
