Simon City Royals Tattoos: A Look at the Gang’s Ink

The Simon City Royals, also known as the Almighty Simon City Nation, is a street gang that originated in Chicago in the 1950s. The gang has a strong presence in the Midwest, with members in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. One of the defining characteristics of the Simon City Royals is their tattoos, which serve as a way for members to show their loyalty and commitment to the gang. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at Simon City Royals tattoos and what they mean.

The Crown

The crown is one of the most prominent Simon City Royals tattoos. It represents the gang’s status as “royalty” and is often accompanied by the letters “SCR” or “SCN” to signify the gang’s name. The crown can be depicted in various ways, including with jewels, on fire, or surrounded by thorns. Some members also get the word “king” or “queen” tattooed above or below the crown.

The Pitchfork

The pitchfork is another common Simon City Royals tattoo. It represents the gang’s association with the Folk Nation, a nationwide alliance of street gangs. The pitchfork is often depicted upside down, with the two prongs facing downward. Some members may also get the letters “FK” tattooed next to the pitchfork to further signify their allegiance to the Folk Nation.

The Playboy Bunny

The Playboy bunny is a unique Simon City Royals tattoo that is exclusive to the gang. It represents the gang’s “love and loyalty to the women of the nation,” according to one member. The bunny is often depicted wearing a crown or surrounded by roses. Some members may also get the letters “PB” or “PC” tattooed next to the bunny.

The Cross

Some Simon City Royals members may choose to get a cross tattooed on their body. This can represent the gang’s Catholic roots, as many of the original members were of Irish descent and grew up in Catholic neighborhoods. The cross can be simple or ornate, and may be accompanied by the letters “SCR” or “SCN.”

The Comments

One former Simon City Royals member, who goes by the name “Joker,” says that getting a tattoo was a rite of passage for him. “It was a way to show my commitment to the gang and to my brothers,” he says. “I got the crown tattooed on my chest, and it hurt like hell, but it was worth it.”

Another former member, who goes by the name “Gator,” says that the tattoos were a way to show solidarity with other gang members. “When you see another member with the same tattoo as you, you know you’re part of the same family,” he says. “It’s a way to feel connected and to show that you’re willing to die for each other.”

However, not all members are happy with their tattoos. One former member, who goes by the name “Lucky,” says that he regrets getting the Playboy bunny tattoo. “It’s embarrassing now that I’m older and have a family,” he says. “I wish I could go back and tell my younger self not to do it.”

Conclusion

Simon City Royals tattoos are a way for members to show their loyalty and commitment to the gang. The crown, pitchfork, Playboy bunny, and cross are some of the most common tattoos that members get. While tattoos can be a source of pride and solidarity for some members, others may regret getting them later in life. Ultimately, getting a Simon City Royals tattoo is a personal choice that can have both positive and negative consequences.
