How to Fill in Tribal Tattoo

Introduction

Tribal tattoos have been around for centuries and have always been popular among tattoo enthusiasts. Tribal tattoos are known for their intricate designs and patterns that are usually done in black ink. However, filling in a tribal tattoo can be a challenging task, especially for beginners. In this article, we will give you some tips on how to fill in a tribal tattoo.

Choosing the Right Ink

Choosing the right ink is crucial when filling in a tribal tattoo. Black ink is the most common ink used for tribal tattoos, but there are different shades of black ink available. It is important to choose an ink that is dark enough to make your tattoo stand out but not too dark that it looks like a blob.

Preparing the Skin

Preparing the skin is essential before filling in a tribal tattoo. Make sure the skin is clean, dry, and free of any oils or lotions. The tattoo artist will shave the area to ensure that the ink goes in smoothly.

Starting the Filling Process

The tattoo artist will start filling in the tribal tattoo by using a tattoo machine. The needle will go in and out of the skin, depositing ink as it goes. It is important to breathe deeply and try to relax during this process.

Layering the Ink

Layering the ink is crucial when filling in a tribal tattoo. The artist will start with a thin layer of ink and gradually build it up to create a solid black color. This process may take a few sessions, depending on the size of the tattoo.

Shading

Shading is an essential part of filling in a tribal tattoo. It adds depth and dimension to the design. The artist will use different shades of black ink to create the desired effect.

Adding Details

Adding details is another crucial part of filling in a tribal tattoo. The artist will use a smaller needle to add intricate details to the design. These details can include lines, dots, and other patterns.

Aftercare

Aftercare is crucial when it comes to filling in a tribal tattoo. The artist will apply a bandage or wrap to the tattoo to protect it. It is essential to keep the tattoo clean, dry, and out of the sun.
