Tyrann Mathieu, also known as the “Honey Badger,” is a popular NFL player known for his incredible defensive skills and tough attitude on the field. But off the field, Mathieu is known for something else – his impressive collection of tattoos.

The Meaning Behind Mathieu’s Tattoos

Mathieu’s tattoos are more than just decorative – each one has a special meaning to him. One of his most prominent tattoos is a large lion on his chest, which symbolizes strength and courage.

Mathieu also has a tattoo of his grandmother’s name on his arm, as well as a tribute to his late friend, former LSU player La’el Collins. He has even gotten tattoos in honor of his children.

The Reaction to Mathieu’s Ink

While Mathieu’s tattoos are an expression of his personal style and beliefs, some fans and commentators have criticized him for them. Some have even called into question his professionalism and commitment to the sport because of his ink.

However, many fans and fellow players have come to Mathieu’s defense, pointing out that tattoos are a personal choice and have no bearing on his abilities as a player.

Tattoos in the NFL

Mathieu is far from the only NFL player with tattoos – in fact, many players have extensive ink. From Colin Kaepernick’s intricate sleeve to Odell Beckham Jr.’s scripture tattoos, body art is a common way for players to express themselves and showcase their personalities off the field.
