Gao Yord Sak Yant Tattoo: History and Meaning

Gao Yord Sak Yant, also known as the Nine Spires Yantra, is a sacred tattoo design that originated in Thailand. The Gao Yord design is believed to be one of the most powerful Sak Yant designs due to its complex geometry and spiritual significance. The tattoo design features nine spires, each representing a different aspect of Buddhist teachings and principles.

The Nine Spires and their Meanings

The first spire represents the Buddha, the second spire represents the Dharma (Buddhist teachings), and the third spire represents the Sangha (the Buddhist community). The fourth spire represents discipline, the fifth spire represents meditation, and the sixth spire represents wisdom. The seventh spire represents compassion, the eighth spire represents liberation, and the ninth and final spire represents auspiciousness.

The Gao Yord Sak Yant tattoo is typically administered by a Buddhist monk or Sak Yant master using a traditional bamboo needle. The process is considered a sacred ritual and involves specific chants and prayers to invoke the protective powers of the tattoo. The tattoo is believed to offer spiritual protection and guidance to the wearer.
